Hi, my name is Richard Davies and I am the resident PGA Professional here at Cradoc Golf Club, and have been since April 1995 – 21 years at one of Wales' finest and most progressive golf clubs is truly humbling. I started my career as a young 16 year old assistant at Morriston Golf Club in Swansea under the watchful eye of Deryl Rees. Unlike many of my peers, I did not want to play golf full time as I enjoyed other facets of the job such as club repairs and generally being around golfers. After 18 months at Morriston, I moved to the employment of Mike Day at Swansea Bay GC where I undertook my formal training leading to a full PGA qualification.

Following a total of five and a half years at Swansea Bay, I moved on to the engagement of professional at Cradoc GC under a franchised service arrangement between Philip Worthing of the Monmouthshire GC and the Committee here at Cradoc. Within two years, I was fortunate enough to be offered the permanent position of professional here at Cradoc, and the rest, as they say, is history! I am genuinely proud to be able to serve the members of Cradoc GC, and passionately believe this is a wonderful place to work. I am reminded of a famous quote that I think is appropriate to everyone that works in the golf industry "Whilst people may forget what you said and did, they always remember how you made them feel".

I can assure everyone who visits the Professional's Shop at Cradoc GC that we will strive to provide a good service and support at all times, hopefully making the experience of their visit something special and one they will look to repeat over and over – Cradoc Golf Club is a special place, so why not come and experience it for yourself?

In addition to buggy rental we offer pull trolley and electric trolley hire. We now have the facility to test members and visitors batteries and chargers, so please don't hesitate – come and seek professional advice.

Lessons
